Having grown up in the small southern town of Middleburg, Florida, Lyndie Burris is no stranger to country music. "It is what I was meant to sing," remarked the attractive brunette. Lyndie began singing at the age of three, and her love for performing and for country music shines through in each performance. The heartfelt sentiment that seeps into her music comes naturally.

Lyndie's musical tastes range from Reba McEntire to Rush. Her repertoire includes songs by everyone from Patsy Cline to Sheryl Crow. She got her start singing in church, including early musical influences by artists such as Amy Grant.

At the age of nineteen, Lyndie started singing in a local restaurant after the owner's son saw her perform at a local fair. Lyndie formed a band in 1997 and started performing in North Florida and South Georgia. With talent and tenacity, Lyndie gained recognition in Florida publications and with the region's local radio as one of the area's top female performers opening for the likes of Joe Diffie, Exile, Blake Shelton, Chuck Wicks and Tracy Lawrence.

Lyndie loves nothing more than being on the stage and singing her heart out to audiences anywhere and everywhere. "There is nothing more amazing than looking out into a crowd and knowing you are reaching someone," says Burris. "Singing is what I love. It's all I've ever wanted to do," said Lyndie. Lyndie lives in Nashville, TN where she is actively pursuing a recording contract.   Lyndie was recently awarded the title of Ms. Tennessee United America 2010 and will go on to represent Tennessee at the Ms. United America Pageant in Austin, Texas in October.
